Puppy Guarantee / Sales Contract

Seller guarantees this (circle one) male female Basset hound: puppy. Puppy has been checked by Sellers veterinarian and has been found to be in good health (not showing any signs of sickness) and ready for placement. Puppy has been treated and checked for worms. Puppy has had the first of a series of three (3) REQUIRED parvo / distemper vaccinations at 6 weeks of age. (This information has been supplied to Buyer in the form of a medical record to be given to buyer’s veterinarian) The following is required in order for the Seller to guarantee the puppy. Buyer agrees to the following:
1. The puppy is to be taken to a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of purchase to verify that the puppy is healthy.
2. Buyer has 72 hrs to return the puppy for full refund or replacement if this puppy does not receive buyer’s veterinarian’s approval.
3. If the puppy is returned in the allowed 72 hour period, it is to have no signs of abuse, neglect or malnutrition.
4. The puppy is to receive the 2 remaining vaccinations of parvo / distemper (at Buyers expense) at 9 weeks and 12 weeks. A booster is recommended at 6 months and 1 year and every year after.
5. The puppy is to receive a Rabies vaccination at 4 months of age or when buyer’s veterinarian deems necessary.
6. Puppies are prone to Coccidia and Buyer has been informed of the dangers and treatment of this infectious organism. Seller is not responsible for veterinarian costs or treatments of this or any other parasitic infestation.
7. Seller is NEVER responsible for any veterinarian or other expenses relating to the puppy!!
8. Seller agrees to replace any puppy sold found within the one (!) year of sale to have any life threatening genetic defect. Requirements for replacement are:
a. Seller is given immediate notification of the findings and documentation by 2 licensed Veterinarians.
b. Puppy shows no signs of abuse, neglect or malnutrition.
c. Original puppy is to be returned to Seller with all paperwork.
d. If Buyer decides to keep Original puppy, and refuses replacement, Buyer acknowledges that treating the puppy will be at Buyers own expense and that Seller is released from responsibility.

Reserving a puppy: Once you have decided which adorable puppy you would like to make a member of your family for life, let us know and we will mark the picture of that puppy "Sale Pending" until a half down deposit is received or the puppy is paid for in full, at which time the puppy's picture will be marked "Sold" or removed from the website. The half down deposit will "hold" your puppy for you so that no one else may purchase your puppy until the time it is 8 weeks old and ready to leave; Therefore, the deposit is NEVER refunded!
Shipping: We can arrange to ship your puppy to you for an additional charge through Pet Air, Inc. If you are interested in having a puppy shipped, simply contact us with the name of the closest Major Airport to you and we will be able to give you a price. When shipping a puppy, additional fees such as pet crate, rabies vaccination, additional vet checks and our mileage will need to be included in the price if applicable. The total amount to ship a puppy will be around an additional $280 depending on the time of year, age and weight of the puppy and so on.
Payment: We accept cash, money orders, cashiers checks and PayPal if you would like to pay with personal checking funds or credit card. NO PERSONAL CHECKS!!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!

Guarantee: We will guarantee any puppy we sell for that
puppy's first year against any life threatening genetic defect. We
will not guarantee against any infectious organisms such as parasites,
Coccidia, Giardia, Parvo, Distemper, Kennel Cough, etc. We take great
precautions to insure the health of each puppy before they are ever born
until they leave our premises and can not control the environment or .other
factors contributing to such infectious organisms once at their new homes.
We will never let a puppy leave our premises that is infected with any of
the above infectious organisms! Each puppy is thoroughly inspected by
our veterinarian just days prior to leaving us! A copy of our
guarantee is below. The actual guarantee you are asked to sign at the
time of purchase may need to be modified if the puppy is being shipped to
allow more time for a return if needed, or is older than 8 weeks old by
changing the # of vaccinations the puppy has received, etc. .
